Countries

You can configure the countries of your shop in Admin under Settings > Shop > Countries.

Overview

In the overview you will find all configured countries that are currently available within your languages in your sales channels.

You can select your language (1) here first. In the table you will find some columns which give you more information about the available countries.

In the first column you can find the configured countries (2). The next column shows you which position (3) the respective country has in your storefront. Furthermore the column ISO (4) shows you the country code according to ISO 3166 (e.g. DE) and the column ISO3 (5) the 3-digit ISO country code (e.g. DEU). In the column Active (6) you can either activate or deactivate the respective country. The column List view (7), which is displayed here with three dots, allows you to make further settings within the table view. So you can choose for example which columns are displayed or in which order they should be displayed.

Create new country

With a click on the button Add country, which is located in the upper right corner of the overview, you can create a new country for your shop.

In the mask for creating new countries, you first enter a name (1) and a position (2), which refers to how the country will appear sorted within your shop. You also assign the respective ISO codes (3 & 4) to the country.
You can also directly preselect whether the country should be active (5).

With the option Shipping available (6) you can determine whether shipping should be offered for this country or not. In your storefront, the following notice appears for the customer who wants to order from the country with the option deactivated: "Deliveries to the selected delivery address are not possible"./p>

The option Tax-free (7) offers you the option to offer tax-free deliveries to the respective country. You can either activate or deactivate this option. If the option is activated, the products are already displayed tax-free in the listing, on the item detail page, in the shopping cart and during the checkout.

If you require a state/province to be specified for a country, you can activate this using the option state/province required on registration (8). In this case, it is necessary that you store the states/provinces accordingly. This is possible using the blue button Add state/province. You will find more information on this in the next section new state/province.

You can also specify whether the prices for companies (shop account of the type business account) are to be displayed tax-free (9). This option takes effect when a customer registers as a company and deposits an VAT-ID. You can also activate a check of the VAT ID format (10); this is possible for EU countries. The check is not available for other countries.
