Credit card registration

In the customer account, payments can be made with VISA and MASTERCARD credit cards. Other credit card providers are in preparation.

If you have registered at https://account.shopware.com, you will find the registration option for credit card, direct debit and PayPal under the menu item Company Settings > Accounting. You then select the credit card as the payment method and enter the card details. Simply follow the steps shown.

To protect data privacy, the complete data is only held by the payment service provider (PSP). The PSP we use, Heidelpay GmbH, is registered with BaFin. We only see part of the credit card number and the expiry date (month/year) in our system.

After registration, the credit card is stored as the default payment method. If necessary, you can change this under the menu item "Payment methods".

If the credit card is selected as the default payment method, it will be used for all payments, i.e. also
for the collection of collective invoices at the end of the month.

Expiry of the registered credit card

If the month in which the credit card expires is reached, the credit card will be deleted from the customer account. As it is not clear to us on which exact date the credit card expires, this is done at the beginning of the month.

As soon as the credit card is cancelled, you will receive an email with information and the link to this page.

You now have the opportunity to
- register a new credit card
- register another payment method (PayPal, SEPA direct debit)
- in the future to be paid by bank transfer.

Even if your credit card number remains the same, a new registration of the credit card is necessary, as the expiry date has changed and cannot be adjusted in our system.

Please do not send us any credit card details. Due to security and privacy reasons, only you can enter this data in your customer account. Likewise, only you can enter PayPal details.

You can also submit a SEPA direct debit mandate (basic) online. If, according to your company's internal guidelines, you may only issue this in writing, please send an email to financial.services@shopware.com and we will send you a form sheet. Please note that we currently only offer direct debit for the following countries: D, A, NL, B, PL, GB, EST, ES, FR, IT.

If you have already entered a new payment method, please check whether the correct payment method has been entered and activated. If other "old" payment methods are still stored, we will generally not reactivate them, as we cannot comprehensively check whether the data is up to date.

Please check whether the company data we have on file are still up to date and - if necessary - send us up-to-date information together with proof of trade or an excerpt from the commercial register.

Remove deposited credit card completely
