Cloud Developer Environment

Oberview

In your Shopware account, you have a powerful tool that allows you to create your own cloud development environments. This environment is intended for testing and in-house development and offers you a safe space to create and refine apps and extensions.
The development environment has limited capacity and is not comparable to fully paid cloud shops. It is intended exclusively for development and testing purposes.

Only private apps can be uploaded and installed in the development environment. No extensions can be uploaded and installed that have been created in the account and prepared for sale in the store or are already in the store.

Your development environment is created for 30 days. This period cannot be extended. At the end of the 30 days, the development environment is automatically deleted and you can create a new development environment.
Each user can only operate one sandbox at a time.

Creating a cloud development environment

To create a dev sandbox, you need an account at account.shopware.com. A company affiliation is not required. On the home page of the Shopware account, you will find the button to create the cloud developer environment in the "More functions in the account" section.

After you have initiated the creation of the development environment, it takes a few minutes for it to be created in the background.

From now on, the button provides you with information about the remaining runtime of the environment, whether it is still live and also provides you with the URLs for the administration and the storefront.

Ressourcenmanagement

If a particular development environment is experiencing excessive load (e.g. from bulk imports or compute-intensive calculations), we can temporarily shut it down to avoid impacting the performance of other sandboxes using the same resources and infrastructure.
